My Story

I have been a health insurance agent for over 10 years after changing careers ​from a 20+ year career as a litigation paralegal. My goal in becoming a health ​insurance agent was that many of the people I spoke with as a paralegal needed ​help in finding healthcare after an accident or workers compensation injury. ​Due to the professional limits of my position, I was unable to provide any ​information that could help.

I am also the parent of 4 children and 5 grandchildren. My son has an ​intellectual disability, and I am therefore his legal guardian and his advocate, ​which makes me uniquely qualified to help others advocate for themselves ​when it comes to managing their healthcare and insurance benefits.

I have also served as a volunteer advocate for other families who have children ​with special needs, particularly in educational settings. I ensure their child is ​receiving all the support and assistance they are entitled to in school, so they ​can be successful, regardless of their disability, in an educational setting.

I am very family oriented and love hanging out with my grandchildren!!! They ​are tomorrow’s future and I strive to help and support them! I love gardening, ​sewing, knitting, crochet, rehabilitating old furniture and upholstery or any ​craft or art that allows me to express my creativity!

My passion is to help others as I have been helped! As a single parent with a ​disabled child, I want to pay it forward so that I can help others who are ​experiencing some of the issues I was faced with.
